Organisation FAQs

What is Qualification Check’s Global Verification Service for?

Our Global Verification service is used to check the academic or professional qualifications of a candidate or applicant, at any accredited university or institution in the world.

It is used by individuals, employers, recruiters, background screeners and institutions, to verify qualifications and awards.

What does the Global Verification service verify?

Qualification Check verifies an individual’s qualification or award with the original issuing body, based upon the supply of the following information: full name, date of birth, dates of attendance, institution, course title or award, qualification type and classification or grade.

How do I create an account?

Visit  www.qualificationcheck.com and click on the Sign-Up button in the top right corner. Once your personal information is submitted, you will receive an invitation email to join the Qualification Check verification platform.  Please make sure you check your spam folder; in case you don’t find anything in your inbox.

How do I submit a check?

After you sign-in to the Qualification Check verification platform, click on “New Verification” on the left-hand side menu, add as many education checks as you need. Once you submit the individual details, click Next.

What is a Consent Form

When requesting details of a person’s qualifications, a signed consent form is often required before the university or institution will release the requested verification. Some institutions do not require consent forms. Some may require additional information such as scanned copies of transcripts. Some institutions have a stated policy of not issuing verifications to third parties, and will only release information to the graduate.

Advice on the documentary requirements of each university or issuing body, is listed on our portal.

How do I access the list of universities you cover and the pricing?

In the “coverage” section on the left hand menu bar you can see the entire list of universities covered by QC, the cost per verification (and the surcharge in case a university charges a fee to third parties). You’ll be able to access this list by clicking the country on the map or you can use the filters to search by institute name.

I can’t find the institution I need?

If your search does not show the educational institution you require, you can request our verifications team to add it for you. Simply click on ‘Request a new educational institution’ button and complete the fields.  One of our team members will get in contact to provide you with an update.

Following up on an existing application?

Check your online platform for updates in the Event History on your verifications every 48 hours to track its progress. You may also use the live chat function for further details on the status of the verification or contact [email protected] or your Account Manager

How do I get updates when a request is showing up as Pending?

My colleague is leaving; I want to access the verification history of his/her account before we close it.

Get in contact with our verifications team using the live chat option or by emailing your account manager.  Our team will move the verification history from your colleagues’ account to yours. Any credit left on this account will also be transferred.

The verification I submitted is no longer required. Can I request for this to be cancelled?

As per our terms of business if you request cancellation within 24 hours of submitting the verification, QC will refund the credit to your account. After 24 hours the request can be cancelled but all fees and charges will still apply. All cancellations must be requested by email to [email protected]

How do I modify a pending verification request?

Send an email to [email protected] mentioning the QC Verification ID and the full name of the candidate. A team member will get in contact with you for assistance

What does it mean when my verification comes back with “Action Required”?

This is when the educational institution requests additional documentation/ information either because what has been supplied is insufficient or because they cannot locate the records after an initial search.

To solve this, you need to re-submit the verification with the additional information or documentation the institution has requested.

**To avoid being charged twice for the same verification please DO NOT submit a new request if the status of the request is Action Required. Follow the instructions above.

What does Not Verified mean?

A check that is returned ‘not verified’ can mean either

One or more of the details supplied by the applicant is erroneous.

The applicant has an outstanding invoice with the institution that must be paid before they will verify the qualification or award.

The applicant does not have the claimed qualification.

What can I do if the applicant disagrees with an institution’s response?

Qualification Check verifies the details provided, against the institution’s records. In the case of dispute, the applicant should contact their institution directly and speak to the Records Officer to discuss any possible error.
